MTV Asks Voters to Think About Marriage Rights

Published on .

MTV "Hot Dog"
In a new set of "Choose or Lose" promos from MTV, the network asks voters to think about equal marriage rights for gay couples with a pair of simple visual metaphors. The spots, directed by Andrews Jenkins of Portland's Food Chain Films, show a woman contemplating a pair of donuts and a man deep in thought as he watches two hot dogs boiling in a pan. Both scenarios setup the copy, "Equal Marriage Rights: Find time to think about it before you vote."
