For some reason, we've been seeing a lot of quality PSAs lately -- from McCann-Erickson's anti-obsesity campaign to Leo Burnett's epic AIDS-awareness opus for the United Nations Foundation. Now, WestWayne and Smuggler directing team Happy have teamed up for a pair of clever messages from The Ad Council and the Federal Voting Assistance Program. In one, we see a crowd forming around a piece of trash next to a garbage can. Everyone is appalled, but no one does anything until a passerby simply picks it up and throws it away. "Don't just take a stand," the voiceover urges. "Act." A second spot features a similar scenario in a women's locker room, where no one seems to know what to do about a running faucet.
