Kids post pictures of their real heroes.
Blockbuster director Joel Schumacher (Batman Forever, Falling Down, Phone Booth) recently stepped behind the camera for a Department of Education campaign aimed at recruiting 7,000 new teachers for New York City's public schools. The effort, created pro bono by New York agency Agent 16 (formerly Mezzina Brown), shows kids running through the streets, covering pictures of star musicians and athletes with the faces of their true heroes: teachers. In addition to Schumacher -- who grew up in New York -- Alicia Keyes, DJ Junior Vasquez and New York Giant Tiki Barber participated by contributing publicity posters, which are upstaged in this commercial by the photocopied images of public school teachers.
