Spam "Ukulele"
Campy meat product Spam -- which has reveled in its kitschiness in recent years -- has some fun once again with the introduction of Spam Singles, individually-wrapped slices of spicy ham. In one new spot from BBDO/Minneapolis and Tool director Tom Routson, for example, kids turn on their teacher when she doesn't have enough Spam to go around. The real gems here, however, are five whimsi-tragic animations by Lincoln, Neb., design company Archrival. In each one, we see a blobbish, babbling couple who are suddenly torn apart by some unexpected tragedy, leaving one of the pair all by his or her lonesome and setting up the tag, "Suddenly single?"
