Fallon/N.Y. resurrects a precious bit of pop culture to create a new one, in our 2004 spot of the year. A drowsy office guy can barely separate his eyelids until he takes a sip of a Starbucks Doubleshot Espresso drink, the drums roll, that familiar Rocky motivational tune "Eye of the Tiger" kicks in, and Survivor's band members appear out of the blue to sing "Glen, Glen, Glen, Glen" to the originally instrumental intro. Noam Murro's expert direction and the retooled lyrics entertainingly bring the concept home.
