Chatsworth, Calif.--Tech media company 101communications announced Monday the launch of the IT Compliance Institute (ITCi) to help IT departments meet new privacy, security and governance regulations and challenges around the world.

The ITCi program will include events, research and online resources. A key element of ITCi, according to 101communications, is an online repository of global regulations, tools and techniques for meeting technology-related compliance issues. The paid and advertising-supported Web site will launch Feb. 16. Individual memberships cost $250.

Adrian Bowles, Ph.D., a research fellow with the Robert Francis Group, will be ITCi's director of education and research.

“IT departments worldwide are being affected by the rapid enactment of government regulations," Jeffrey S. Klein, 101communications’ president-CEO, said in a statement. "And 101communications is committed to providing technology professionals with the information they need to successfully do their jobs.”
