30 b-to-b magazines closed in first quarter

New York—Publishers shuttered 30 b-to-b magazines, including one online-only publication, in the first quarter, according to MediaFinder.com.

In the same time period, publishers introduced 25 new publications. Twelve of those publications are online-only; three are digital editions.

Overall, MediaFinder.com, an online database of U.S. and Canadian publications, said that 110 new magazines were launched in the first quarter and 95 were folded. Sixteen magazines, including Blender and ComputerShopper, closed their print publications but remain in business online.
