4Info raises $14 million in new funding

San Mateo, Calif.—Mobile advertising and technology company 4Info Inc. has gained $14 million in new venture capital funding in a deal led by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen's Vulcan Capital, a new investor in the company. Other participants included Mitsui Global Investment, also a new investor, as well as existing investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Gannett Co., Mezzanine Capital and U.S. Venture Partners. 4Info to date has raised $52 million. 4Info has focused on SMS text messaging for b-to-b customers. It will use the additional funds to expand its AdHaven mobile ad platform, which will develop a division focused solely on mobile advertising technology and sales, according to the company.
