‘Financial Times’/Doremus poll finds online media usage increasing among senior execs

New York—In five years, four out of five senior executives will consume more than half of their work-related media online, according to a new study by the Financial Times and Doremus.

The “Decision Dynamics” study was based on an online survey of 470 senior executives worldwide. It found that more than half read blogs, stream video and watch webcasts, both for leisure and for work.

Social networking is also on the rise. The study found that use of community sites by senior executives increased to 65% this year from 24% last year.

Also, about half of the respondents use mobile to check the news or visit a Web site, according to the survey.
