‘U.S. News & World Report' to cease monthly print edition

Published on .

Washington, D.C.—U.S News & World Report's December issue will be its last monthly print edition sent to subscribers, according to U.S. News Media Group. The move appears to complete the brand's move to digital, a process that began when U.S. News announced in 2008 that it was moving from a weekly print edition to a monthly one.

The brand will continue to print “selected, single-topic print issues,” such as its college and hospital guides, according to an internal memo from U.S. News Editor Brian Kelly posted on the Romenesko blog.

The brand will also continue to produce its weekly digital edition. “The iPad and the next generations of tablets and mobile platforms will create a brand new set of opportunities for us,” Kelly wrote in the memo.
