‘Wall Street Journal’ introduces WSJtravel

New York—The Wall Street Journal is extending its brand into the travel business.

The newspaper officially announced last Thursday the launch of WSJtravel, which will offer about 50 travel packages to destinations including Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and South America.

“WSJtravel is the latest extension of The Wall Street Journal franchise, and we established this service to offer something truly unique and distinct to travelers,” Imtiaz Patel, VP-group sales and strategy for the Journal, said in a statement.

The Journal has joined with Advanced Travel Center to create WSJtravel. The offerings include a wine and food trip to the Napa Valley, a trip to Tuscany featuring a stay in a 1,000-year-old castle and a culinary trip to Vietnam.
