A pep talk for creatives

On the blog “AdPulp,” Wade Sturdivant posted an encouraging piece titled, “The Only Difference Between Famous Creatives And You Is That More Of Their Best Ideas Have Been Produced.” The title pretty much says it all: Sturdivant makes the case that the toughest part of being a creative at an ad agency is consistently seeing good ideas end up on the cutting room floor. “Budgets shrink or disappear,” he writes. “Celebrity endorsers get arrested. Hurricanes cancel shoots. Trust me, luck matters, no matter who you are.”
