New York—American Business Media President-CEO Gordon Hughes II announced plans for the organization’s 100th anniversary, which will be marked at several events in 2006.

The celebration will kick off Jan. 6 with a media event in New York, and the centennial theme will be carried out throughout the year at the organization’s major annual events: the Jesse H. Neal Awards, Spring Meeting, William D. Littleford Awards and Top Management Meeting. Professional development programs will also be tied thematically to the centennial.

The celebration will also include a 100th Year Gala Dec. 7 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York.
