ABM moves ahead with revamp of strategic plan

Published on .

New York—American Business Media said Tuesday it is moving ahead with the early revamping of its strategic plan as its member companies and the organization itself grapple with the recession and the effects of marketers moving their advertising budgets into digital options and away from print. Peggy Walker, president-COO of Vance Publishing Corp., held her first meeting as ABM's new chair last week. She and Bill Pollak, CEO of Incisive Media, who is the chair of the Strategic Planning Committee, are spearheading the construction of ABM's new strategic plan, a process that is being accelerated at Walker's urging. ABM expects to unveil the new strategic plan at its Executive Forum in New York on Nov. 4.
