New York—American Business Media has named Don Tennant, VP-editor in chief of Computerworld, as this year’s recipient of the Timothy White Award for Editorial Integrity. He will be honored at the 53rd Annual Jesse H. Neal National Business Journalism Awards luncheon March 22 at New York’s Waldorf-Astoria.

Tennant, who has been editor in chief of IDG Communications’ Computerworld since2004, joined the U.S. edition of the magazine in 2000. Before that, he spent eight years as editor in chief of the Hong Kong edition.

Tennant won a Neal Award in 2003 for editorial excellence in news coverage, and his weekly editorial column has won awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors and Trade, Association and Business Publications International.

The Timothy White Award, named after the late Billboard editor, recognizes business journalists whose “work demonstrates the integrity, courage and passion that White displayed throughout his career,” according to ABM.
