New York—Trade shows enjoyed a 2.1% increase in revenues in the second quarter compared with the same period in 2004, according to American Business Media’s Business Information Network for Trade Show (T-BIN) report.

Revenues for the first half were up 3.6% compared with the first half of 2004. Attendance dipped 0.6% in the second quarter and 2.4% in the first half.

“Though there is a slight slowdown in attendance, the overall in-person revenue picture remains positive,” said Gordon T. Hughes II, president-CEO of American Business Media, in a statement.
