Accenture reports $370M loss

Published on .

New York--Accenture, the world's largest consultancy, reported a fiscal fourth-quarter net loss of $370 million. Accenture, which was a privately held partnership before it went public last July, did not reveal earnings figures for the year-earlier period. The company, formerly Andersen Consulting, launched a $175 million global ad campaign last January. Accenture said the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11 will cause it to take a charge of no more than $40 million in the current quarter.
