Access Intelligence buys marketing brands from Penton

Rockville, Md.—Access Intelligence announced today that it has acquired several media brands covering the marketing industry from Penton Media. The deal, financial terms of which were not disclosed, includes the Chief Marketer, Direct, Multichannel Merchant and PROMO brands. The acquired properties will join Access Intelligence's Marketing and Media Group, which includes Best Events, CableFAX, Cynopsis, DM Confidential, Event Design, Event Marketer, EXPO, Folio:, LeadsCon, min and PR News. “We're excited to be rounding out our leadership position in advanced marketing with these top-drawer brands and joining their talented team with ours to supercharge our offerings,” said Don Pazour, Access Intelligence president-CEO, in a statement. Group publisher Leslie Bacon and her staff of 15 employees will join Access Intelligence.
