Beaverton, Ore.—Act-On Software has opened its application programming interfaces to third-party developers, allowing them to build applications that take advantage of the company's marketing automation platform. Act-On already integrates with more than 20 third-party apps, including content management and CRM systems; data and webinar providers; and social media apps. Opening up its API via the company's new Act-On Partner Exchange will enable developers to enrich these applications using profile data from Act-On, the company said in a statement. Act-On has also rolled out new tools for its agency partners, allowing management of accounts via one central log-in; assignment of account managers and teams to specific client accounts; and sharing of content across accounts, Act-On said.
