Acxiom’s quarterly sales, income fall

Little Rock, Ark.—Interactive marketing services company Acxiom Corp. logged sales of $271.1 million in its fiscal second quarter, down from $328.9 million in the year-earlier period.

Net income declined to $9.4 million, from $15.8 million in the year-earlier period.

CEO John Meyer noted that both revenue and operating income results showed improvement over the company’s fiscal first quarter and that several Acxiom clients have indicated they plan to boost marketing spending in the next six months.
