Acxiom buys DMS as entry point into Middle East

Little Rock, Ark.—Interactive marketing services company Acxiom Corp. has established a foothold in the Middle East through its acquisition of Saudi Arabia-based Direct Marketing Services.

The new Acxiom MENA (Middle East-North Africa) unit will be based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai, U.A.E. The operation will be led by DMS Managing Director Yousef Hamidaddin, founder and CEO of the Arab Direct Marketing Association, who was named CEO of Acxiom MENA.

An acquisition price was not disclosed.
