Ad exchange in Cuica's future

Menlo Park, Calif.-Advertising software developer Cuica Corp. said Wednesday that it has launched an e-marketplace for online advertising, dubbed CuicaExchange. In conjunction with the move, Cuica said it has allied with Inktomi Corp. to provide inventory from Inktomi's merchant sites to the exchange. The company claims its exchange, coupled with campaign management and reporting software, will deliver click-through rates as high as 4%, which is well above the industry average for business-to-consumer advertisements. The exchange will offer banner advertising rates, as well as pay-per-performance advertising.
