Ad revenue for business publications up slightly through November

New York—Ad revenue for business publications grew 0.60% through November of last year compared with the same period in 2005, according to figures released late Monday by American Business Media’s Business Information Network. Ad pages rose 0.74% in the same period. Some of the stronger ad revenue categories through November included architecture, design, lighting (up 10.9%); building, engineering, construction (up 8.2%); and pharmaceuticals (up 8%). Weaker categories included computing, software, telecommunications (down 6.3%); agriculture (down 5.5%); and transportation, logistics (down 5.4%). Ad revenue fell 3% in November, while ad pages dropped 3.3%.
