New York—Ad revenue for business publications grew 0.9% through September compared with the same period in 2005, according to figures released by American Business Media’s Business Information Network (BIN).
Ad pages rose 1.1% in the same period. Some of the stronger ad revenue categories through September included resources, environment, utilities (up 9.7%); architecture, design and lighting (up 9.5%); and building, engineering and construction (up 8.6%).
Weaker categories included restaurants, foodservice, lodging and gaming (down 6.9%); computing, software, telecommunications (down 5.5%); and agriculture (down 5.4%).
Ad revenue was down 1.4% in September, while ad pages were off 0.76%.
