Ad revenue for 'Wall Street Journal' up 5.7% in October

New York—Dow Jones & Co. reported Friday that ad revenue for its flagship The Wall Street Journal rose 5.7% in October on a 1.8% increase in ad volume. Increases in financial, technology and general advertising linage were partially offset by a 3.7% decline in classified advertising. Ad revenue for Dow Jones’ Barron’s dropped 7.1% in October on a 6.5% decrease in ad pages due to lower financial and technology advertising.
