Adobe awards advertising business to Goodby Silverstein

San Jose--Adobe Systems Inc. has awarded its $20 million advertising account to Goodby Silverstein & Partners, San Francisco, which it named its agency of record following a review. The other finalist was Interpublic Group of Cos.' Deutsch, Los Angeles, according to sources. The first phase of the assignment is setting brand strategy for Adobe's network publishing software and developing an ad campaign across Adobe's three core markets: creative professionals, business professionals and technologists. Adobe will retain existing relationships with Young & Rubicam Inc. and Dentsu Inc.
