Advanstar cancels Industry 212 fashion show in New York

Published on .

New York—Advanstar Communications announced it has cancelled the Industry 212 regional fashion trade show scheduled for Jan. 11-13, 2005, in New York. The company had previously "postponed" an Industry 212 show slated for November. Advanstar appears to have cancelled each of its three annual Industry 212 shows—another event was slated for June—"as part of its ongoing strategy." The company said the New York market is already well served by a number of regional fashion trade shows. Advanstar is currently evaluating the fashion market to determine the ideal mix of regional shows to complement its flagship trade show, the MAGIC Marketplace.
