'Advertising Age' names Chris Crain associate publisher

New York—Advertising Age on Wednesday named Chris Crain associate publisher, effective Jan. 14. He succeeds Allison Arden, who was promoted to publisher on Dec. 3 after her predecessor, Scott Donaton, left to become publisher of Time Inc.'s Entertainment Weekly.

Crain's responsibilities will include managing Creativity and developing new vertical online communities for the Ad Age Group. He has been associate publisher of Crain's Detroit Business since 2005. During the past six months he has also helped launch Crain Communications Inc.’s newest publication, Crain's Manchester Business, in the U.K.

Crain Communications also publishes BtoB.
