Advertising's continuing role

On the blog “Beyond Madison Avenue,” blogger Dwayne W. Waite Jr. fights back against those who have said social media will eclipse advertising. He argues advertising will always be a necessary way of starting the conversations that take place in both the virtual and real worlds. “As the social layer becomes crowded with referral network platforms, daily deals, social networks, and the like, these entrepreneurs who cried for the death of advertising will be coming for ways to raise awareness,” wrote. “And we'll be waiting.”
