Agencies not pinning hopes on Pinterest

Published on .

Menlo Park, Calif.—While photo sharing social site Pinterest has enjoyed rapid growth among users, its appeal to advertising and marketing agencies for their own business efforts has been minimal, according to a study from marketing staffing company the Creative Group. According to the Creative Group's quarterly survey of agency executives, only 7% use Pinterest for business. Among the nonusers, 44% said they have no current interest in using it and 17% are interested but hesitant; 18% said they had never heard of the online pinboarding site. The study was based on 503 telephone interviews of agency executives conducted in April.
