Airborne Freight signs b-to-b agency for online campaign

Seattle--Looking to add more verve to its business-to-business marketing efforts, Airborne Freight Corp., parent of Airborne Express, on Monday said it has named eyescream interactive, Portland, Ore., its online agency of record for an upcoming Internet b-to-b campaign. The agency is in early stages of developing creative for the 50-year-old air freight carrier, which seeks to add more levity to its corporate marketing over the Internet. The campaign, to begin with a $100,000 expenditure in January across creative and media, will focus as much on direct e-mail services as on banner advertising. eyescream, which characterizes itself as ``David Ogilvy meets David Lynch, Hunter S. Thompson meets J. Walter Thompson,'' counts Nextel, QSSInc.com, Telezoo.com and Skillsvillage.com among its b-to-b accounts.
