AKQA launches search unit

San Francisco—AKQA, an interactive agency and parent of SEM agency SearchRev, announced Thursday it is launching AKQA Search. The search business unit will be powered by the technology developed and marketed by SearchRev.

AKQA said the offering will enable clients to incorporate search programs into their digital advertising and marketing campaigns. AKQA Search’s capabilities include SEO, landing page and Web site optimization, as well as custom content development.

To lead the new unit, AKQA has hired Scott Linzer as director of search marketing. Linzer was previously director of search marketing at McCann Worldgroup.
