Alexa debuts beta version of Web search platform

San Francisco—Alexa, a Web index and archiving company that is a subsidiary of Amazon.com, has released its Alexa Web Search Platform in beta form. The platform will provide paid access to Alexa’s Web-crawling services. It offers a search engine infrastructure and content processing resources for individual developers and companies that are developing search applications.
