Allegis lands big HP contract

San Francisco--In one of the biggest customer wins to date for an Internet-based partner relationship management software system, Allegis Corp. has landed an account from Hewlett-Packard Co.'s "b-to-b-to-b marketplace" for hosted information technology solutions. The deal calls for Allegis to provide HP's Channels On Tap program with an Internet-based system for managing its customer database, sending out marketing support to resellers and other key marketing functions. Allegis will provide the "collaboration component" that makes HP's vision of multiple, high value-added channels for hosted solutions possible, said Randy Okubo, Channels on Tap marketing manager.
