Amazon.com, Hallmark unit in b-to-b marketing deal

Published on .

Seattle--In a move that underscores its desire to tap b-to-b to stem its massive losses, Amazon.com will begin marketing through Hallmark Cards' high-profile b-to-b site, Gift Certificate Center. Hallmark's corporate clients will be able to buy Amazon gift certificates through the Gift Certificate Center, and can access them either on paper or via e-mail. The move comes several weeks after Amazon rolled out a corporate accounts program, which provides online ordering to businesses, schools and governments. Amazon's stock shares have been trading in the $7 to $8 range, off a 52-week high of $49.63. http://www.hallmark.com
