American City Business Journals Chairman Shaw dies at 75

Charlotte, N.C.—American City Business Journals reported Monday that its chairman, Ray Shaw, died Sunday from “complications following a bee sting.” He was 75.

Shaw purchased American City Business Journals, which is now a unit of Advance Publications, in 1989 after he retired as president of Dow Jones & Co. American City Business Journals owns the Kansas City Business Journal and 39 other city business journals as well as other publications.
