American Show Management gets new owner

Portland, Ore.--David Korse and Warburg Pincus Equity Partners L.P. have acquired American Show Management, a Portland, Ore.-based producer of information technology events. Mr. Korse will become president-CEO of American Show Management. John Inglis, former chairman, and Pat Kearney, former president-CEO, are to remain as consulting partners through the end of the year. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Warburg Pincus is a private equity fund affiliated with E.M. Warburg, Pincus & Co. L.L.C., a private equity investment firm that manages about $7 billion in investments. American Show Management expects to produce 46 super-regional IT trade shows and more than 1,500 conference and seminars this year.
