Amex OPEN, Facebook team on small-business promotion

New York—American Express OPEN, AmEx's small-business solutions division, has teamed up with Facebook on a national contest to help businesses use the popular social networking site.

The promotion, “Facebook Big Break for Small Business,” allows companies to enter essays on how they'd use $20,000 in winnings from the promotion to better their businesses.

Ten semifinalists will be judged by OPEN Facebook fans, to pick a final five who will win a trip to Facebook headquarters in Palo Alto, Calif., for a two-day “boot camp” on using the channel, and $20,000 apiece.
