Analysis companies to merge following regulatory approval

San Rafael, Calif.--Fair, Isaac and Co. on Friday announced its upcoming acquisition of HNC Software Inc. will close on Monday, after the U.S. Department of Justice ruled in favor of the merger of the two data software companies. The all-stock transaction, first announced in April, was valued at $810 million at the time. It combines Fair, Isaac's credit card scoring analytics expertise with HNC's credit fraud analysis capabilities.
