Android smartphones reach 32% global share

Rockville, Md.—Android devices attained a 32% global market share among all smartphones in the third quarter, according to a report released by MarketResearch.com. Android's global market share was up from 13% a year earlier. Android global shipments increased by 280% in the first three quarters of the year compared with the year-earlier period.
