AOL acquires Adtech AG

Published on .

Dulles, Va.—AOL announced Wednesday that it has acquired a controlling interest in Adtech AG. The Frankfurt, Germany-based ad serving company will operate as an independent subsidiary of AOL's Advertising.com division.

It is the second ad serving acquisition deal announced by AOL this week. On Tuesday, it announced its acquisition of mobile ad network Third Screen Media.

AOL said the Adtech deal provides it with an advanced ad serving platform and strengthens Advertising.com's suite of Web publisher solutions and extends its international reach into 25 countries.

Adtech will continue to be based in Frankfurt. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
