Feb. 21 Dulles, Va.—AOL and WebEx Communications announced Tuesday that they have partnered to create an enterprise version of AOL’s AIM service for businesses and at-work instant messaging users.

AIM Pro, which AOL said is its code name for the new service, will offer a customized interface for business users and will be offered in two editions: a professional edition designed for individual professionals and small to midsize businesses, and an enterprise instant messaging(EIM) edition that provides centralized administrative controls for large corporations.

The service will deliver voice, video and Web collaboration capabilities, such as desktop sharing and online conferencing, through its partnership with WebEx.
