Cannes, France—AOL announced partnerships with several media properties to roll out the Interactive Advertising Bureau's Portrait ad unit across their digital platforms. Pictela, a division of AOL's Advertising.com business, is partnering with Fox News, Meredith Corp., Variety, The Wall Street Journal and the Weather Channel to deploy the ad unit on their digital properties. Portrait is a large-scale, banner format that offers advertisers rich media capabilities. It was introduced as a standard ad format by the IAB in September. The announcement was made at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity.
