AOL shuffles executives

New York—AOL Chairman-CEO Tim Armstrong has restructured responsibilities of three executives at the company. Janet Balis was named the first publisher of Huffington Post Media Group. She was previously senior VP-sales strategy, marketing and partnerships at AOL Advertising. Ned Brody was named CEO of Advertising.com Group (which includes 5min and Pictela) a newly created position. Brody had been chief revenue officer of AOL and president of AOL Advertising. Jim Norton will remain senior VP of AOL Advertising, but now reports directly to Armstrong. Norton had previously reported to Brody. In an internal memo, Armstrong said, “The goal of these announcements is to fuel our ability to serve more advertisers and publishers with more targeted products and services.”
