AOL taps Burbank to be CMO

Dulles, Va.—AOL on Wednesday announced that John Burbank will join the company as CMO. Burbank was previously VP-marketing at AT&T. He will have overall responsibility for conceptualizing, developing and executing AOL's brand marketing strategies and programs, according to the company. Burbank is credited with developing AT&T's (then Cingular’s) "Signal Bars" ad campaign.
