New York-It didn't take long for AOL Time Warner to start to streamline its staff. The media giant said Wednesday that it plans to cut more than 2,000 jobs. The Internet unit is laying off 725 people out of its pre-merger work force of 15,000. This could hamper AOL's b-to-b efforts since the company has struck marketing partnerships with several high-profile b-to-b companies, including PurchasePro and Sun Microsystems Inc. The job cuts follow massive layoffs at one of the company's biggest divisions, the CNN Group, and bring the total number of jobs eliminated at the merged company to more than 2,400.
