General Sentiment is a social analytics company that ranks companies based on their perceived media value.
Apple ranked No. 1 as a result of the new iPad release and strong fourth-quarter results, according to General Sentiment.
The remaining top 10 brands in the first quarter were Google, Microsoft, Amazon, Hewlett-Packard, Samsung, Sony, Intel, Yahoo and Disney.
