Apple is top brand in Millward Brown study

New York—Apple is the top brand on Millward Brown's BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list, released today. According to the report, the Apple brand's value increased by 84% over last year, to $153.3 billion. Millward Brown uses a propriety analysis of financial data, market valuations, analyst reports and risk profiles to determine brand valuation. No. 2 on the list this year was Google, followed by IBM, McDonald's, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Marlboro (a Philip Morris brand), China Mobile and GE. The study found that the total brand value of the top 100 brands reached $2.4 trillion this year, up 17% over last year.
