New York—Apple is the top brand on Millward Brown's BrandZ Top 100 Most Valuable Global Brands list, released today.
According to the report,
the Apple brand's value increased by 84% over last year, to $153.3 billion.
Millward Brown uses a propriety analysis of financial data, market valuations, analyst reports and risk profiles to determine brand valuation.
No. 2 on the list this year was Google, followed by IBM, McDonald's, Microsoft, Coca-Cola, AT&T, Marlboro (a Philip Morris brand), China Mobile and GE.
The study found that the total brand value of the top 100 brands reached $2.4 trillion this year, up 17% over last year.
