Aptimus exceeds 20 million marker

Seattle--Aptimus Inc. on Wednesday said it has collected 20 million orders through its FreeShop.com, Desteo and The Catalog Site properties since its 1994 inception, and claims to be among the largest lead-generators on the Web. The company said it plans to expand its business from simply collecting fees for lead generation into other marketing services, including banner advertising and e-mail marketing through creation of The Aptimus Network. The company, formerly known as FreeShop Inc., has primarily focused on business-to-consumer products, but has begun handling b-to-b marketing campaigns as well.
