ARGI officially acquires Readers Services business of MediaBrains

Montvale, N.J.—ARGI, which provides subscription and membership customer management services, on Tuesday announced that it has completed the acquisition of the Reader Services business of MediaBrains Inc., which provides lead generation tools to publishers. Financial terms were not disclosed.

The acquisition gives ARGI 170 new clients that represent more than 400 publications in both the b-to-b and b-to-c markets. “The MediaBrains Reader Services acquisition is central to ARGI’s mission of providing outstanding service to clients who utilize our subscription fulfillment [program],” said Ray Butkus, CEO of ARGI, in a press release.

Joe Buckheit, president-CEO of MediaBrains, said, “Over the past several years, our b-to-b online advertising division has experienced incredible growth. The sale of the Reader Services division supports our strategic decision to focus 100% of our efforts on furthering our position in producing advertising supported online industry directories.”
